Insurance coverage for the treatment of venous insufficiency varies depending on your insurance and their specific coverage policies. Most insurance companies classify vein treatments as either medically necessary or cosmetic. If your treatments are required due to medical necessity, it will almost certainly be covered by insurance. However, if your vein treatment is merely cosmetic, your treatment will most likely not be covered.
After verifying coverage/benefits with your insurance company, if you would like a cost estimate, our office will be happy to provide one for you. For varicose vein related visits, the initial office consultation and venous ultrasound are usually covered by insurance carriers.
On the day of your initial consultation, a treatment plan will be designed by Dr. Oswalt if treatment is recommended. Should the treatment plan be considered “medically necessary", Fort Worth Vein Center will submit a pre-determination letter along with your medical records to your insurance carrier for prior authorization.
Fort Worth Vein Center accepts all major credit cards and checks. There is also convenient healthcare financing available
